About Us
The farm has been in the Hammer Family since 1946. Current resident, Larry Hammer, is the second-generation owner managing the 100 acres located on the north side of Florissant, Missouri with the primary product being organically grown, grass-fed beef.
“My Father worked locally during the day and managed the farm in and around that schedule. It really was a family affair for my parents and I was the only boy. We originally produced a varied harvest of grain, soybeans, wheat and corn. Later he ventured into a herd of registered Hereford steers which we raised for our own purposes. I remember the many challenges Dad faced with the butchering process. When I took over the farm this was one area I have paid particular attention to; working with hand-selected butchers in both Illinois and Missouri for preparing orders in a manner that I can trust will be the highest quality for my customers.”
Larry has one Daughter and two young Grandsons who frequently visit and lend a hand.
